Service Description

A postpartum doula can support first-time mothers emotionally and teach them techniques that can help smooth their transitions from woman to mother. Increasing chances for success in areas such as breastfeeding and reduction of postpartum depression. Postpartum Services - Assistance with newborn care and feedings - Assistance with mother's postpartum healing - Meal preparation - Overnight support - Support with multiples - Support with perinatal mood & anxiety disorders - Light housekeeping tasks - Assistance with sibling adjustment - Errands - Household organization - Companionship - Community resources and professional referrals During labor Support I will come to your home during labor and assist with younger children. Help with clean up after delivery of baby. Make sure momma and daddy gets plenty of rest. Breastfeeding Support I will be there to assist you with any questions and proper latching. Community Referrals As a postpartum doula it is my responsibility to refer you to the proper health care professional. ~ Special package with additional charge: - Education package includes: ~ Infant eye stimulation $15 *per 2-4 hour session ~ Early communication such as **baby sign language $25 *per 4 hour session ~ Early motor skills development $25 *per 2-4 hour session * Footnote: These special services are not on a set schedule. Said services will be explained in detail during consultation.** I am a Certified Baby Signing Time Instructor Fees Price Range: * $40 - $50 per hour * I offer a sliding scale and pro-bono services Sliding scale & Pro-bono services for low income families. - The sliding scale fees range from $10-$15 and is based off of Net Income for low income families only. - Pro-bono service is offered to foodsnaps/wic recipients only one family a month. Send me a one page essay @ rightlyguideddoula.com telling me, "How you would benefit from the service?" Services Hours - The minimum of two (2) hours is required for each client. Overnight shifts are eight (8) hours (with some flexibility) - A non-refundable retainer of 25%, which will be based on length of service, will be required in order to hire me prenatally and will be applied to the last contracted hours. As a Postpartum Doula, I Do Not: - Perform any clinical tasks. - Make decisions for you. - Speak to the staff on your behalf. - Project any of my own beliefs onto your experience.
